I’ve long been a fan of Stanley Kubrick’s seminal sci-fi film, but was somehow unaware that he had partnered with Arthur C. Clarke to first shape the narrative as a book. Having seen the film dozens of times, I found this text to be illuminating in the amount of detail it sheds, especially given how much of Kubrick’s version is open to interpretation.
