This book lives up to the hype, and to be honest I struggled to not rate it higher. That said, there were one too many moments where it felt the character would encounter a problem, but the build up was quickly resolved and the plot continued to move forward without too much friction. I also rated Snow Crash with a high mark, and because it was written first I’ll remain loyal to that rating as the bar.
